All About Integrity: Integrity is a "trawler" style boat designed by Edwin Monk, Sr. and built in the yards of Cape Island Yachts in the little town of Clarks Harbour on Cape Sable Island in Nova Scotia, Canada.  Got that?

Actually, the "manufacturer" of Monk 36 boats is North Sea Yachts in Point Pleasant, NJ.  North Sea is owned by Al Smith..

.. a crusty boatman, who also is a yacht broker.  He sold Integrity to us, although it was a used boat.

Until recently, Al and his partner Norm would personally drive from their offices in Point Pleasant, NJ to Clarks Harbour (yes, took ferry also) and bring each Monk 36 back from Nova Scotia to New Jersey on its own bottom.  Quite a shakedown cruise!

One of the things we liked best about this model boat was its layout:

Also, the interior was finished in a warm teak with nicely upholstered pieces, a queen bed in the master stateroom, dual control stations, two heads, etc.  Sort of an ideal boat for the Great Loop.

Lower helm station. Integrity has two helms - one topside on the flying bridge, and this one in the saloon.  You can also see the main power panel (AC and DC).  The chair is a hi/lo chair that serves as dining/lounge seat or as helmsman's chair.

Looking forward at the port side of the master stateroom.  The passage goes up to the saloon.  Those lockers are nine feet worth of "closet" for our hanging clothes.  And Bill's tools.

This is the "Queen" centerline berth in the master stateroom.  It is barely 57" wide - hardly a true "double."  The main water tank (120 gallons) is under the bed.  Heck you gotta' put it somewhere!

In the saloon looking aft.  The galley area is on the left.  The passage down to the master stateroom is to the right.  You can see the refrigerator/freezer in the center.  A real luxury!  The microwave will be mounted in the window space, sadly.  The TV will go to Atlanta.

These are the "V-bunks" in the forward stateroom.  This is where guests will sleep if they stay overnight.  There is a private head for this stateroom to the left, and a big closet is on the right.  Drawers are below the bunks.

Entry to the master head.  No, that's NOT an icemaker!  Separate shower to the right (behind door) and vanity, cabinets and mirror to the left.

Passageway down from saloon to master stateroom.  That cabinet to the right of the bed houses the washer/dryer.  Talk about luxuuurrrryyyy
