Day 96: Wednesday, July 20th: Although the available moorage along the lock walls in the canal fill up early, we slept in this morning because we didn't have far to go. The day turned out to be perfect! The temperature was cooler and the humidity was down. There were puffy white clouds in the light breeze.
Best of all, the beauty of the little lakes was breathtaking. We were now in the area that is the Canadian Shield with rocky shores and little rocky islands like this one:
The lakes are usually connected by one or more "rivers" which are just cuts through the rocky shores. Many are quite narrow like this one:
