Day 52: Sunday, May 29th: Today presented another pretty but breezy morning. We had plans to go to lunch with Bill's Uncle Bob and his lovely wife, Beverly. Ruth had to break out the ironing board and iron and do some "pressin'":

Uncle Bob is a wonderful personality who is eighty-something, a retired medical doctor, and a recent technophile (well, newbie). He has climbed the Matterhorn, and served in the Army in WWII. He was at the Battle of the Bulge in Germany:

Bob and wife Beverly are quite a couple:

We were dressed to the nines for the luncheon. Bob snapped a picture of us. Ain't we a lovely pair?

After lunch, we walked down to a shopping center so Ruth could get her hair cut at Great Clips. On the way back, we realized we were walking past a public gallery of some sort. There was a huge bird sculpted (missed a picture) and this "egg":

Ruth decided to climb Fort Hill, a large grassy steep-sided hill on the south side of the harbor that was a park. From this vantage point, one gets a broad view of the harbor:

A statue of Major-General Samuel Smith is here. He lived from 1752 to 1839, served in the army, was a member of congress for forty years, served as President of the US Senate, was Secretary of the Navy, and was Mayor of Baltimore. Quite a fellow!
