Day 38: Sunday, May 15th: This morning we finally left Hampton and headed out into the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay with three-foot southerly seas predicted. Integrity doesn't like running in seas from behind. She wallows around a good bit. While the motion is easy, it is hard to steer a steady course. As the day wore on the seas subsided somewhat and it was more comfortable.
We headed along a route that would take us past a place called "Wolf Trap" that was marked by a light (Wolf Trap Light). It dawned on us the light was a lighthouse. It was pretty impressive, although not as romantic looking as some others:
We had made a reservation at Regatta Point Marina in Deltaville, VA at the mouth of the Rappahannock River. Our new friends Craig and Jack Dozier own this marina and another one nearby. They also own "Waterway Guide", a series of cruising guides for pleasure boaters. The marina is being completely upgraded and refurbished:
