Day 37: Saturday, May 14th: We decided to stay in Hampton for another day, so this morning we went in and saw an IMAX film and toured the Air and Space Museum. This a very well-done display in a huge three-story building with 25-30 real aircraft and many mock-ups suspended all around in the air. One of them was a radio-controlled blimp one of the volunteers let us fly:
We had a late lunch, did a little window shopping and then visited the Cousteau Society Headquarters. No pictures, but you can click the link.
We went back to the boat. Ruth had enough energy to clean the "topsides" of the boat (from the waterline to the gunwhale - the top of the side). Integrity had developed a BAD brown "moustache" due to the dark tannins in the waters of Georgia and the Carolinas. We should be clear of that problem from now on. Ruth stood in the dinghy with a tether, hose, sponge and FSR (a special product for cleaning stains off fiberglass). Tough work, but Integrity looks great now. Ruth is a real trooper!
