Day 338 - Thursday, March 30th: The River City Marina was in a location that was exposed to very swift currents, boat wakes, surge, noise and city dust and dirt.  After two days here we decided to move a few miles upriver to the Ortega Yacht Club Marina.

We stayed until about 3:15pm waiting for UPS to bring Ruth's new camera.  They never showed up (due to a comedy of errors) so we left.

This is the view we had as we left the marina:

Just as we were leaving the dock the automatic railroad drawbridge closed so we had to hover while the train passed.  Hovering in three knots of current is not easy:

We had to wait for about fifteen minutes before we could pass through.

We arrived a short time later in the Ortega Yacht Club Marina and were greeted by Summertime who had left early in the day.  Ortega was not very fancy, but there was very little current:

Alongside the ramp to shore was a huge area of tall grass, reminding us of the "low country" shorelines in Georgia and South Carolina; we were getting close:

There were many wakes because we were moored right next to the channel.  However it was a much better location than the other marina.  Integrity looked fine in her berth:

Besides, we were a short three block walk from major shopping - Publix, West Marine, Longhorn Steakhouse, Moe's Southwestern Grill, etc.  Very convenient!

We had happy hour on Summertime and ate leftover pizza for supper on Integrity.

Position tonight: N30 16.500 W081 42.944
