Day 273 - Ft. Myers Beach to Naples, FL
Day 273: Tuesday, January 24th: After a hassle trying to pay for last night's mooring, we got underway about 10:00am and cruised out into the Gulf of Mexico. After clearing the harbor markers and setting course for Naples, we relaxed in a perfect day's sunshine. This is what Florida condos look like from 3½ miles offshore. That blip in the center of the picture is a parasailor:
Yes, the day was definitely a "10" with the temperature close to 80 degrees, calm seas and a gentle breeze. It doesn't get any better than this! Integrity was purring!
Just off the sea buoy into Naples we passed close by this schooner, Lady Stirling and got a picture of everyone waving. She was a pretty boat!
As we came through the inlet to Naples, Ruth spotted this eagle on a high perch:
We zigzagged into a canal in the "top dollar rent" zone and dropped the anchor. The homes on the shore were sensational! (more tomorrow):
And the sunset tonight was also sensational. It was a perfect day today!
