Day 267: Wednesday, January 18th: Another cold front ran through the area last night with wind and rain. We slept in this morning and then had a big breakfast. Later we spent nearly two hours getting advice from another boater, Harry, who has spent the last 7-8 years cruising the Florida Keys. His input and advice was very helpful to us tenderfoots (tenderfeet?).
Our new icemaker machine suddenly stopped making ice yesterday, so we borrowed the car of "Don", our next-dock neighbor, loaded the maker into the trunk and headed off to Home Depot to see if we could swap the six-week-old machine for a new one. There was only one such machine left in the entire area out of four Home Depot stores, and we got it! Even swap.
Here is the new machine going into its place on the bridge:
We had Cincinatti-style chili for supper, one of our favorite things. It had been another good day.
