Day 260: Wednesday, January 11th: We slept late (8:00am) this morning, had a light breakfast and got underway about 10:00. The anchorage offered some interesting "grass" for our anchor as it came up. Ruth said, "Yuk!"
We headed out of the shallow anchorage and cruised across the large bay called Charlotte Harbor to Burnt Store Marina. This is a rather fancy marina associated with condos, a hotel, restaurant, shopping, boat brokers, etc. This area is like a little city miles from anything, but people come here by boat and car. It got badly hit by the hurricanes two years ago.
However our target was Porto Bella Restaurant, a waterfront restaurant that serves very good pizza - one of the best we have had. They are known for the giant palm tree that grows up through the floor:
The sunset was a doozie. Again!
