Day 248: Friday, December 30th: We decided to stay in Palmetto at the Regatta Pointe Marina for a week.  Today is day two of that week.  Sorry, but we didn't take any pictures worth posting.

Bill walked the seven blocks back to the grocery store for a couple of missed items for supper, while Ruth started cooking "White Chili" using the recipe of Calhoun's in Tennessee where we had it.

Two Loopers arrived at the marina today - Vagabond with Lew and Karen aboard, and Wind Dancer with Jim and Sue Brown aboard.  As we were chatting with Jim and Sue, we mentioned we were going over to pick up a rental car.

Jim jumped up and handed us the keys to their car.

It turned out that they had two cars here (they are still loading and setting up the boat to start the Loop).  Loopers are such nice people!

So, we now have access to a car!  Very convenient, and very generous of the Browns.

We invited the crew of Cori to try the chili for supper.  It was good!  We then went over to Cori to watch a DVD movie.  All in all, it was a nice Day!
