Day 244: Monday, December 26th: Today was to be a total lazy day. We did very little early other than sleep and do a few chores on the boat. Bill sent a few logs to Chaz to catch up this site. After lunch we went for a walk around the neighborhood (walking seems to make us feel like we are getting exercise).
Back at the dock we met Don Price, a world-sailor, who lives aboard an aluminum, one-of-a-kind sailboat named September Morn. He bought the boat in the Pacific Northwest some 16 years ago, sailed single-handedly to more places than we can remember and has made many improvements to the boat - like installing a water maker that can fill his water tanks in an hour. WOW!
Sadly, we didn't think to get a single picture of this amazing fellow or his boat. He took Ruth to the grocery store and Wal-Mart to get some shopping done in his (local) sister's car. We had happy hour with lots of stories and supper aboard Integrity with Don, and it was delightful!
Tomorrow, we would head down the coast of Florida. Life is good!
