Day 224: Tuesday, December 6th: Today was the breakeven day at the marina. We had already paid for five days, and the weekly rate was equal to it, so we had two FREE days to stay! We decided to stay and just be lazy.

We greeted Wade and Susie Ehlen aboard Miss Happ as they pulled into the marina. We had not seen them since we left Grand Harbor Marina at the northern end of the Tenn-Tom.

Around noon we again took the marina courtesy car and went to Target (among other places) to buy a Christmas tree. We found a delightful living tree and bought some lights and ornaments for it. Ruth put on the lights…(50 of them):

…while Bill made itty-bitty hooks for the tiny ornaments out of tiny paper clips. Tedious work! Note the little hooks between the ornaments and the box of paper clips:

And here is the finished product sitting on the "dashboard." The picture doesn't show the 50 lights very well:

It was a fun project. We also have Christmas garlands we will put on the guy wires and stays of our mast (to replace the orange Thanksgiving bows). Check back for that exciting episode of Integrity's cruise through the Gulf Coast.
