Day 214: Sunday, November 26th: We slept in this morning since we didn't plan to go very far today. By the time we got up, Wind Dreams, our "anchorage-mate" was already gone. We had breakfast and got underway ourselves.
We headed down the Waterway in total isolation. It was rare to see any sign of civilization; this lone house was notable simply by its presence:
Looking the other way one can see the dilapidated cabins along the road and a couple of campers. It was all very quaint:
Bobby's has a locally popular restaurant which has been serving river catfish for some three generations. We were told it is the only restaurant in the area allowed to sell river catfish rather than farm-raised catfish; we decided to have supper there. It was quite good, fried, with hush puppies, French fries and slaw. The portions were much more than we could eat. There was a good patronage of LA folks (Lower Alabamians) there.
We waddled back to the boat and were soon asleep.
