Day 203: Tuesday, November 15th: The weather broke for a few hours, so we took on of the marina's courtesy cars (actually a pickup truck) into Savanna (Tennessee) twenty miles north for some shopping. Bill got a haircut and we bought everything from booze to beans.
We wanted to stop for a pizza for lunch, but by the time we got to the pizza parlor, they had closed until 4:00pm. We decided to go back to the boat and order a pizza for delivery for supper.
About that time, the strongest cold front of the year began to roar through. Tornadoes were dropping all around and we ran up to the basement lounge of the nearby condominiums that were associated with the marina. The poor pizza deliveryman arrived soaked to the bone. We got our pizza and he got a big tip!
We watched the progress of the cold front on the giant TV in the lounge as we ate the pizza. When the rain subsided, we went back to the boat. Integrity had weathered the storm just fine, thanks to our ten dock lines holding her.
Behind the front tonight, the nearly full moon began to peek through the clouds.
