Day 200: Saturday, November 12th: This morning Ruth did a quick load of laundry at the marina while Bill uploaded some logs. We said sad goodbyes to our friends Ed and Mary on Madora moored in the slip next to us because we don't expect to see them again until next spring.

We got underway and headed downstream toward the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, some 45 miles away. As we turned out of the marina into the river, this sight greeted us:

We had never seen anything like this. It was a river cruise barge out of New Orleans. They were in the Tennessee because of the recent storms through the New Orleans area. The "engine" is a very impressive, high-powered…tugboat:

Soon we were passed by our friends on Madora. They had gotten underway and decided to run downstream to a point beyond our destination to wait for some family members. Here they are running down past us:

About 3:00pm we turned into Yellow Creek, the entrance to the "Tenn-Tom." Half a mile farther was Grand Harbor Marina. The first sight to greet us was this delightful schooner, a custom built beauty:

We moored at the marina between Miss Happ and our new friends Wings. This is a very nice marina with lots of amenities and a huge high-rise condominium on the hill behind it.

Hopefully, we will get some pictures of this spot and be able to post them.

We had happy hour on Wings, supper on Integrity and then to bed.
