Day 189: Blue Springs Marina to Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee
Day 189: Monday, October 24th: There was no fog this morning! None! However, it was in the low 40s, overcast and windy. We got underway finally about 11:00am and headed toward an anchorage we had picked from a description in our guidebook. We were not looking forward to anchoring on a night that was supposed to dip into the upper 30s.

However, we did spot this particularly pretty group of trees and rocks and had to have a picture of it. Bill maneuvered close for the picture:
After hot soup for lunch, we decided to press on past the anchorage and moor at Shady Grove Marina near Chattanooga. We called the marina and moved our reservation up a day. They promised to stay late until we arrived.
We got to the marina at 6:00 pm, quitting time for the staff, and they greeted us with open arms. These folks are very nice people!
We settled in. Our plan is to leave the boat here and go home on Wednesday for about a week.
Supper was a hearty homemade stew (good to eat hot meals). Tomorrow will bring chores and getting a rental car for the trip home.
We transited one lock today for a trip total of 137 so far.
