Day 163: Wednesday, September 28th: We wanted to go only 21 or so miles today, so we did some more chores first. Bill joined fellow Loopers from Medora and rode about fifteen miles back in to Savannah, TN for some groceries, a haircut and a visit to the only liquor store for several counties ahead.
We got underway about 11:00am and putt-putted upriver. We took a short detour into Yellow Creek which is the start of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. We wanted to see Grand Harbor Marina and Condominiums; it was very fancy looking. We spotted Mi-T-Mo, a converted tugboat we had heard about months ago and kept hearing references about. It is an unusual craft:
We continued on and about 3:30pm poked our nose into this nice cove for the night. There is a cold front coming through tonight, and this place has pretty good protection. Let's hope.
