Day 162: Tuesday, September 27th: We had plenty of time to go the fairly short distance to make the America's Great Loop Cruisers Association Rendezvous at Joe Wheeler State Park in Russellville, AL. Also, we had a whole lot of cleaning work we wanted to get done. So, we decided to stay in the Pickwick Marina another day.
We washed and waxed the boat, waxed the isinglass and EZ2CY panels on the bridge enclosure, scrubbed all eight fenders and did laundry. Whew! We will wait to clean the moustache off Integrity since we have three more days in the river before the rendezvous.
Bill bumped into Bill McKinney off Salty Dog. This is his home marina and had just finished the Loop a week ago. We had not seen him since we were at the rendezvous in Beaufort, SC, last April. Anyway, Bill took Bill in his car to get propane and some miscellaneous hardware. That was a big help.
No pictures today, and that makes up for so many yesterday.
