Day 129: Monday, August 22nd: The wind was still too strong to attempt passage on the open water of the Straits of Macinac, so we stayed in DeTour for another day. First order of business was to wander into the little town and shop.
As we left the dock there were half a dozen ducks feeding on the shallow bottom. Often, they would tip up on their heads and feed upside down; it was quite a sight. We tried to catch them in that position, but this is the best picture we could get. Note the guy on the left:
Next was lunch at the "Dockside Restaurant". Good home-style food. Then we visited the free DeTour Museum. It was a tiny facility with a hodge-podge of things but had some old stuff in it that we enjoyed seeing:
