Day 115: Monday, August 8th: Today was dedicated to getting chores done. Bill had the main engine oil and filter changed and cleaned all the seawater strainers. Ruth washed and waxed more of the boat and did laundry.
Marina owners Karen and Bob Jantz loaned Ruth a car to go into town for groceries. Bill spent much of the day fighting to get a decent connection with the wi-fi system so he could upload pictures and logs. He finally gave up.
Meanwhile, Bill upgraded Integrity's anchor from a 35 pound CQR plow to a 44 pound Bruce. Hopefully this anchor will hold better in this area of the world.
We had a chance to get a couple of pictures of the marina. This is looking at the main office and store. The grounds are nicely landscaped but, sadly, the grass is brown from the heat and lack of rain:
