Six members of the class of ' 64 took a cruise to the Bahamas in February of 2004. Pictured the night before the cruise in a Cocoa Beach Motel are (seated L - R) Gary Havens and Marilyn Miller Stalnaker, (standing L - R) Mark Lang, Sandy Easterly Combs, Cindy Brammer Lang, Stanley Stalnaker, Jane Stalnaker Cowan, Karen Shelly Havens, Jerry Combs, and Oran Cowan. They made stops in Freeport and Nassau. It is rumored that Jerry made a killing at Atlantis!
Out-of-town classmates maybe ought to consider returning to Zanesville. Those of us who chose to remain here have lots of fun together!

A year after graduating from high school, Sherry Burnsworth Colling had the idea to start a card club. Membership was mostly made up of members of the 1964 graduating class. In the picture taken at Adornetto's Pizzeria at a Christmas party are present day members: (clockwise back) Janie Hickman Hartley, Marilyn Miller Stalnaker, Dee Gravitt Zakany, Karen Shelly Havens, and Sherry Burnsworth Colling. (seated L - R) Ann Mattingly Burkhart (not a class member), Sandy Easterly Combs, and Linda Arter Sowers. Other class members that have been in the club at different times through the years include: Melanie Ferry Lyons, Pam Waltman Lyall, Dorothy Flood Rapol, and Judy Kussmaul Dennis.
Each month the club meets at a restaurant to eat dinner and then goes to one of the member's house to play euchre and of course talk, talk, talk! This has been a wonderful way for class members to remain in constant contact and share family lives. Several club members married one of those precious ' 64 men -Stanley Stalnaker, Ted Zakany, and Jerry Combs, furthering class ties. Members have discussed going to the same rest home (in the far future) so the card playing and talk can continue. The only thing is they wonder what it will be like then since they often don't know who dealt, what trump is, or who started the deal when they meet now!
