Installing the SteppIR 3el Antenna
I'd been off the air for ten years. Lunch one day in January, 2004 with my friend Bob Allphin, K4UEE, prodded me to get involved with ham radio once more. I still had the gear, I had the tower; all that was needed was the antenna and associated extras -- and a bit of re-learning!
I asked Bob what was new in antennas since I dropped out in 1994. Among other things, Bob told me about the SteppIR Yagi antenna; I went to their website and fell in love.
These pages are about acquiring and installing my 3-Element SteppIR Yagi from FluidMotion. A pretty good description of this unique antenna can be found in the third bullet below: "The Antenna".
Because I'm driven to document every aspect of my life on the web, I've prepared these pages to help the next person with a mission like mine.
