And now, Ladies and Gentlemen: CABINETS!
Yesterday the garage was full of
kitchen cabinets and appliances.
And, it was unlighted. Today, somehow,
we have lights and all of the kitchen
cabinets have vanished!
I wonder where they've gone....?. |
|
Looking into the kitchen from
the dining room doorway you can
(for the first time) see Gael's
cabinet choice. They're maple,
finished naturally. The curved
detail at the top of the cabinet
doors is usually reserved for
upper cabinets only; doing this
with lower cabinet doors
"just isn't done".
It is now! |
|
On the North wall of the kitchen
are two pantries with shelves at the
top and large rollout drawers below.
The refrigerator will stand to the left. |
|
Swinging the camera a few degrees
to the right, and we see: mo' cabinets,
mo' cabinets, mo' cabinets! |
|
And yet a few more degrees to
the right and, yes, you guessed it,
even MO' cabinets. In the lower
right corner is the cabinet into which
the sink will, well, "sink". |
|
Spinning nimbly further to the
right you can see the ovens -- yes,
installed and operating! Today is
the day before Thanksgiving and, by
God, Gael WILL be cooking! Vince
and the boyz got the 220 line hooked
up just in time. Of course, there's
no lights or other outlets but she
CAN bake again! (and, remember, she
still has burners, sink, dishwasher, and
disposal in the butler's pantry...) |
|
And now (Ta-Da!) the first baking
event in the new oven! Summon the media!
The dish? Lemon meringue pie, of course
(eat your hearts out...) |
