Now they've turned their attention to the laundry room. The cabinets above the washer and dryer remain but the rest of the room will be demolished. Half of the room will be rebuilt into a coat closet and a half-bath. |

This is a view into the laundry room with a temporary new wall in place. To the left of that wall will remain the laundry room; on the other side of that wall will be the new half-bath and coat closet. |

The demolition on the back of the house is underway. They've already removed the deck (see June 6th) and now the bay window from the breakfast room. This opening will become a cased opening stepping down two steps into the new family room. The doorway on your right (which used to be a door into the back yard) will become the door into the new closet or new half-bath; not decided yet. |
|
And this is what happened on June 19th. The exposed area of open studs represents the wall of the new family room which will come out the back of the house. The new garage will occupy the space where the camera is positioned. Essentially, we're adding a big box (family room + garage) onto the back of the house. |

Let's turn our attention to something really important: our new 72 foot tower! See that
tiny orange flag in the center of the picture? That's the center of a soon-to-be 4' x 4' slab which will support the tower. It's 4 x 4 x 7 feet deep, actually. |

For the visually impaired (like me) here's a closer shot of our exciting new flag. (can you stand it)? |
