Finishing the inside...

    And now, Ladies and Gentlemen,
    the "impossible-to-believe pantry-drawer made-of-tissue" event!

Since the painting is nearly finished and the floor sanders are coming next week and the living room floors (where all of the contents of the erstwhile kitchen cabinets have been sitting) must be cleared, Gael set about moving her canned goods into her BRAND NEW PANTRY! YAYYYYYYY!

    ...Not so fast...

I don't know; I think that drawers installed in the kitchen pantry should be able (silly me) to hold canned foods. Call me crazy. But here, you see, is the result of (nearly) filling two drawers with cans -- not stacked on top of each other (oh, no) -- just sitting in the drawer

The top drawer took out the second on the way down. Nice sound effects as well. Sigh...

Here's a closeup of the rail carrying the top drawer. Yes, it looks a little flimsy to me, too. We're in contact with Canac Kitchens and hope for a satisfactory solution -- NOW! Well, "hope" isn't the right word. They have to deal with Ms. Gael (Pray for them...)
