Lowband enthusiasts need not despair, however. Under the right conditions on 160m, contacts can be made with stations not only in the dark sector, but also within a band 1000km on the day-side of the terminator.

NOTE: Propagation forecasting is far from an exact science -- especially when we're near the bottom of this sunspot cycle as we are now. These charts show where the best propagation is likely to be -- but not the probability that there will be good propagation at all. Gud DX!

Notes: | 160 meter times are based on sunrise and sunset times. It would not hurt to watch these times on other bands too. 15 meter, 12 meter, and 10 meter openings are of low probability due to the approach of the solar minimum (expected in late 2006/early 2007). Monitor the sun for short-term increased sunspot activity. Probabilities on the higher bands may be improved. |
