After straying away from Northern California for two years, we decided to return to Sonoma County for 2009. Why? In Sonoma, you can visit three wineries per day for a year and STILL not taste them all!

We planned to time our arrival at SFO for mid-day on Wednesday, May 20th and our departure from SFO for mid-day on Sunday, May 24th. Yep; that was the plan, all right...
We arranged for a pair of minivans from SFO; the Hunters, since they're flying into Oakland, rented a car and made their way to Santa Rosa in time for dinner.
The hotel was (as usual) Hilton Sonoma Wine Country Hotel. The Barrs stayed at the nearby Comfort Inn, Santa Rosa.
Our first winery visit was scheduled for 4:00p on the day we arrived -- but, because of airline pain, only the Barrs and Cones made it there.
