November 12, 2002

Talked to Rich last night (congratulating him on the success of his "Extra! Extra!"cache. He suggested we try a few today. No problem.

Jumped off the treadmill (well, staggered off the treadmill) at about 10:30a this morning and picked Rich up at about 11:30a. He had a plan:

      "Under the Border"

This is a terrific little micro-cache that Rich had already logged. Found it handily; very clever.

      "Building Blocks"

This is another clever urban micro-cache that's been here since July 4th, 2002. Coords and instructions took us right to it. Rich took the SuperSpyII Travel Bug which he placed later today.

      "Change of Command"

We're on a "drive right up to it" roll today. Did this virtual w/o having to exit the Corvette!

      "Ansley Three-fer"

Another nice mid-town multi-cache. Tracked down the coordinates (plus or minus our ability to read them; we're old). Found it just where it should be thanks to the clues in the text.

      "Urban Preserve"

This was quite a hike especially since we cut cross-country after finding it and had to make good use of our sticks to get out (through someone's back yard..)

      "Hashn Library"

Another park I never knew existed. We took a shortcut; glad (again) we had the sticks! I agree with the *3* terrain rating.

      "MasonWoodsMuster"

Last one for the day for me. Saw Rich drop the SuperSpyII travel bug in the cache so I took it out. Gonna take it to California next week!

Today brings my "found caches" count to SIXTY-EIGHT.
