We read the logs carefully and decided to try the "easy" way to this one. Nice walk along the river and found it handily. This was the largest cache container I've seen so far.
This one looked like we could handle it but the last phase was simply too difficult for two old farts. About a 75 degree climb with not much to use for handholds. I'm sure this is a great cache, but we'll never know. IMO, the terrain should be listed as a 4, not 2.5
This was a particularly lovely walk in the same area as "Rocks" (see our failure above); I recommend it highly even with the $2.00 parking fee. A wonderful spot for a walk/hike on a gorgeous day. Made up for missing out on "Rocks".
On our way up the trail to this one we met a young fellow with his black Lab coming down and said "Hi". When we found the cache, we also found that someone had logged an entry 30 minutes ahead of us. Since we didn't see anyone else coming down the trail, we're pretty sure it was that young chap with the dog; would have been nice to share some stories if we'd only known.
