First one of our twelve cache day. Lots of bushwhacking required to find this one. And poison ivy and skeeters.
Second today. Felt odd scanning the ground right beside Roswell Road. Found it after a while (tough to see).
Number three for today. I didn't have trouble with it; Bill did because he didn't know that "The Village People" recorded "the" song!
The fourth one today. This one placed by friend Rich Wolf. Bill had visited before but hung out while I found it. Nice spot. This is a "theme" cache; contains only pins.
The fifth one today. It's a two-station multi-cache. Pretty easy if you pay close attention to your arithmetic.
The sixth one today. This really made me want to visit Decatur more. Looks like a charming "sidewalk" town.
The seventh one today. Plenty o' skeeters.
The eighth one today. Another in the "Who's on First?" series.
The ninth one today. Part of the "Who's on First?" series.
This was the tenth one today. Pretty clever, based on the Abbott & Costello routine. It's part of a four-cache series (which we did out of sequence)
The eleventh one today.
This is an extension of the "Who's on First?" set. Find a sign at the coordinates, email the owner, get the credit.
The twelfth and final one for today.
This was, by far, the toughest terrain I'd encountered. Bill is a mountain goat but my old out-of-shape body nearly gave up the ghost. To complicate matters we didn't have the cache page with us for this one, just the coordinates. Geocaching is tough when you know where to go but don't know what you're looking for.
But we got creative. From a high spot I called Rich on my cellphone and had him read the pertinent info to us. Then, we found it handily. Gotta love technology.
