You know me. It's not enough that I'm enthusiastic about something; I have to infect everyone around me!

Gael I and drove up to Louisville, TN to spend part of the Memorial Day Holiday with our great friends Newsom and Beverly Baker. I'd earlier exposed Newsom to GeoCaching in a couple of emails; he has a friend who's into it, too. So I printed out the sheets for the nearest thirteen caches and off we went.

Our first cache was called "Knoxville/Waterwheel". Not sure why "waterwheel" because we never saw one. Apparently it is de rigeur to put caches in beds of poison ivy. There were TONS of it all around. Took a while to spot the cache, but find it we did. Beverly took some lovely green beads she just had to have. Newsom put up pictures.

You can read my log entry on the cache page (link above).

Next we found "Knoxville/Norwood". Not too difficult and Beverly got her second dose of fine jewelry with a Bacchus necklace. She's into this thing big-time. I put up a picture of Newsom with the cache.

You can read my log entry on the cache page (link above).

Third stop (and my hayfever is KILLING ME!) wasn't too tough to find. It's "Smokey Mt. Knife Company". The store is worth a visit on its own. Had to be "de-ticked" by one another; reminded me of chimps grooming each other -- but substantially more advanced, of course. You can read my log entry on the cache page (link above).

Fourth (and final) cache of the day was the loveliest spot. "Dam Overlook" is a great picnic spot that Newsom and Beverly (having lived in the area forever) never knew was there. Took a while to find the cache but we did (and cleaned up a bunch of debris while we were at it). The cache contained a "Travel Bug", the first one I'd seen. It's name is "Impala Logo"; I took it to place in our cache (that we plan to place tomorrow).

I could hardly breathe nor see so we called it a day. But tomorrow....

Today brings my "found caches" count to TEN.
