Not surprisingly, this one was in the Briarcliff-Lavista area. It's a two-stage (find a tag, get new coords) but we found it handily.
This cache is dedicated to those among us who love Travel Bugs. The idea is to drop one here so others can find it. I dropped off "Snowbound" (which I picked up in Santa Rosa the last time we were in CA visiting the kids) and picked up "Travel SMurf" which I'll take to SC in a couple of weeks.
This one was so-called because it's "almost" in Stone Moutain park. But it's outside and a drive-by micro-cache.
This kinda epitomizes the best of the "park" caches. Great trails, beautiful day.
Guess we cheated (unknowingly). The StreetPilot brought us to an entry to the cache area that was only about 50 yards from the cache; so we missed the "walk along the creek" part.
"Yellow River Labyrinth Continued"
This is one of several in the same park. Plenty of vertical hiking (mountain bike trails and bushwhacking) before we found it.
So named because the cache is located in a pile of fallen trees. This is another in the same park as "Yellow River Labyrinth Continued" above.
