The route from Breckenridge to Winter Park involves I-70 and US 40. Both have significant construction messes. The hour-and-a-half driving forecast turned to be somewhat understated. At one point on US 40 we were stopped for a half-hour with no traffic in either direction. When it finally became our turn to pass through the construction zone, we counted 100 cars waiting their turn to go the other way. Gael is not long on patience .. somehow that made the ride seem even longer (for me).
