Bright and early this morning it was back to the Sloan Museum. One of the attributes of being honored at a two-day event like the Sloan Summer Fair is that you're obligated to be there -- or at least have the car there -- all day today.

I didn't mention it earlier (though you probably saw it on yesterday's page) but the NCM contacted the State of Kentucky and they were kind enough to issue a special license plate for each Motorama participant showing the NCM logo and the year of the car. The plate even comes with a one-month Kentucky registration. Here's our plate:
While at the Sloan all day, I took the opportunity to photograph every license plate:
For both days, the Sloan folks had an excellent DJ, Bob Steel. Here's Bob (on the left) and his engineer:
They played an excellent mix of tunes for us thinking of the whole fifty years of Corvette; nice job, Bob!
At 4pm, the Sloan folks announced the winners of the car show going on as part of their festivities. As a surprise to us, every one of the Motorama cars was given a special award! Thanks so much for the Sloan Museum staff and volunteers for treating us so well!
Oh, yes. We had a bit of a scare at dinner this evening. Beth Rhea ('76) apparently was served some "not quite right" shrimp at a local restaurant and had a pretty violent allergic reaction. Paramedics took her to the hospital for observation and treatment. This is how she felt:
But, thankfully, by morning she felt like this so husband Jim did not have to leave her by the side of the road. All's well that, etc., etc.
