Corsa makes their Touring and Indy (PaceCar) edition with a single pair of oval rolled tips exclusively for West Coast Corvettes. I had to have 'em!
Note: in the picture on the West Coast Corvettes website the tips look round. They're actually oval shaped (like the C5 taillights). I liked 'em when I thought they were round; when I saw them during Bruce's install I LOVED 'em!
This is my third (well, fourth, really) experience with Corsa products. I originally bought the tips and sold them to Bruce Still (yes, that Bruce Still) when I upgraded to Corsa Touring with the original tips.
Some time ago I swapped my Tourings for Indy's (love the more agressive sound) with the Pro Series rolled tips.
Today, Bob Hardt and Robbie Curlee "helped" me install a brand new set of Corsa Indys with Daytona tips; YAY! And Mike Findley (C5R# Z5274) bought my used Pro Series Indys.
The Daytonas arrived Friday (day-before-yesterday) and we set up the plan for the first "double-dip" Corsa experience on my lift for today.
But it turned out to be inconvenient for Mike to come -- so Bob and Robbie drove over from Aiken, SC in Bob's Z06. "We" took my exhaust off, put the Daytonas on and took the takeoff exhaust system home to Mike. Maybe in a few months he'll find a way to put 'em on !
Here are Bob and Robbie removing my take-off Corsas. This step is the "roll the antisway bar down..." step.
Notice Bob's T-shirt...
Deep into it, now. We left the plastic covers on the tips to keep them from harm:
Corsa provides the torque settings for all the bolts. This is Bob torquing the exhaust flange connection to the "H" pipe to 40 lb/ft:
And it's done!
And here are the happy installers!
Gotta love em!
