    Day 4 - Thursday, November 29, 2007

Gael felt fine this morning.  Something, perhaps, about the ship being docked in San Juan harbor.

We had our first breakfast aboard and, like all the food and service here, it was great.  As we were leaving the dining room, she noticed that Eggs Benedict were available; we almost went back for another breakfast but reason overcame her desire for her favorite dish.  Maybe tomorrow.

We disembarked and walked about in Old San Juan for a couple of hours:

Christmas is already nigh in San Juan.

We were in and out of shops without (YAY!) buying anything.  Well, we bought straw hats:

At the Governor's residence, La Fortaleza (which is already decorated for Christmas), there was a field trip of pre-kindergarteners:

Nice view of the harbor from La Fortaleza:

We spotted this plaque, beloved by historians and tropical drink fanciers everywhere:

Back to the ship:

    .. for another relaxing afternoon.

While heading out for a sunset shot, there was sufficient light to see Fuerte San Felipe del Morro off the bow:

About the same time, a service platform was being "tugged" away from the ship. This one is carrying away four days worth of waste:

Sundown happened behind the clouds today:

After another lovely dinner for two:

..we staggered to the pool deck where the DVD of "The Three Tenors" was presented; we LOVE them (and even more now that Pavarotti is gone):

Jose Carreras

Placido Domingo

Luciano Pavarotti

A grand evening; and so to bed.  Tomorrow: St. Thomas!
