The North Georgia Chapter of 10-10 International On August 1, 1975 I started the North Georgia Chapter of 10-X International Inc.  Due to other pressures, 10 Meters (and ham radio in general) took a back seat in my life.  When I had to let ham radio go, my good friend Jim Beswick W4YHF took on the leadership role and the North Georgia Chapter thrived.  Sadly, Jim became a SK a few years ago.. In 2013 I resurrected the Chapter and its award, The New South Award. You could quarrel with the timing; we were near the bottom of the sunspot cycle and took a while before conditions are excellent again on 10 Meters -- but hey, this is when 10 Meters needs us most! We're actively pursuing members for the North Georgia chapter.  We meet weekly; check in and join us!  The only requirement is that you meet the Net from time-to-time, have a 10-X number and work (only) two present holders of the New South Award.
