63 - 67 Sting Ray Registry
I replaced the complete drivetrain over the years. First, I still had the engine out of my 1963 Coupe I had 30 years ago, so I sent that out and had it done over. New clutch, had the 4-speed rebuilt and replaced the rear with a 308 Posi. Rebuilt the complete rear suspension and trailing arms and sent all parts out to have chromed and coated:
I take the car out for rides and shows all summer.

Steve Owen's '63 Stingray Coupe
Hi , My Name Is Steve Owen and I live on Long Island, New York. I have a 1963 Coupe that I picked up in 1991. The car was a semi-custom when I found it so I went with that theme to complete the car. The car was painted Maroon with base coat/clear coat paint in 1988 and still has that paint on it. The body is all stock but the interior is button-tuft velour. That is how it was when I got it so I just kept it that way:
It was done in Brooklyn, New York and most people at car shows give me the "thumbs up".
. The wheels are a set of original knock-off's From 1964. They were made by AAE [Ansen Automotive Engineering]:
As far as I know, they only made 8O sets Of them before our friend Ralph Nader declared them unsafe like the split-window. He must really hate my car. I went over the complete front suspension:
..with new coil springs, all bushings, ball joints, tierods and put in power steering Had the upper arms chromed with the power steering pump, too. The engine has some chrome on it, too:
The brakes are all done over with all new parts. All stock except the master cylinder which I replaced with a dual master out of a 1967 Corvette.
