After spending three years restoring a 1965 L-79 convertible w/Vintage Air a brake lockup caused me to spin out of control on Interstate I-95 near Philadelphia. I was battered but OK--my car, however, was totaled. Fortunately it was 100% insured.
In much pain I undertook an extensive search on the Internet and located a body-off restored 1966 L-72 coupe never on the show circuit. It was complete but required TLC to enter the type of shows I hoped to shoot for. After only 7 months from zero car to show car here is the result, first time out!
From St. Louis to Philadelphia my new car traveled (on trailer) to receive its 2nd Flight, with sadness but now elation I can only say that the pain is mostly gone. The hobby can do that to you...it can be so strong it hurts....but I found the cure.
The TI is modified, as is the engine internals as can be seen by the solid lifers and roller-rockers:
Cam is L88. Engine dyno sheet at 6500 is 532 HP in heavy cool air. Wide ratio M-20 has an incredible top end---unknown MPH and will stay that way!
