Scale Visions is the passion and enterprise of Don Theune.  Don hand-builds (in 1:24 and 1:25 scale) exact replicas of your car.  Most cannot discern the difference between photos of the original vehicle and its Scale Visions counterpart.

When AAT developed the 1953 Commemorative Corvette it wasn't long before Don created his first Scale Visions model.  (Of course, Don makes many kinds of models; click HERE to view his gallery).

Don thought it might be interesting to show some of the meticulous steps he goes through to create this unique model (click any image to see it larger):

These are five custom-made body shells fresh from casting:

    Here's a shot of a single shell:

Here's an assembled wheel/tire; in the foreground are the custom-made brake/calipers:

This shows two wheels and all the brakes painted for the eight work-in-progress models:

Door panels are first painted white, then masked to add most of the red, then the black and red details are painted:

The "to-be-chromed" pieces are mounted on a "tree" and then plated:

Here are the seats ready to install:

    Here's a nearly-finished interior:

Steering wheels? We got steering wheels:

License plates and magazines (to place on the passenger seat!):

Here are two shots of the (nearly) finished bodies:

There are several case options; here's the top of the line.  BTW, the convertible top is removable:

..and here is the page of finished models: Finished Models.
