Weather has been rainy since bringing the car home from Lake Oconee on Sunday.   This afternoon my friend Winston came to see it and the weather had turned sunny.   I needed to get it inspected before I could buy the tag for it (it's presently wearing the "2COOL4" tag from my '64 roadster which is in the shop) so Winston and I decided to take it on the half-mile run to the inspection station.

The young guy who runs the inspection station had already inspected our other cars and knew I'd be bringing the CE by.   Even though he was expecting it, his jaw hit his chest (audible "clunk") when we drove in! The car passed (handily).

Since we were out, and my dealer (Tom Jumper Chevrolet) was a few blocks away we decided to run in there and show it to Mac Mcaneny, my service writer.   It didn't take but a few seconds for all the service writers, all the technicians and all the office people to come spilling out into the service area.   After describing in exhaustive detail just what this car is, I decided I'd have to get a flyer printed if I was going to take the car out into public.

Mac suggested we take it by the sales office to have the salesmen eat their hearts out -- so we did.   When we drove into the dealership lot it was like the buidling had experienced a bomb scare.   Scores of people came spilling out of there (customers, sales reps, management, etc.) and we had our second round of major oohs and ahhhhs.   Answered questions for a half hour or so and headed home.   If it's going to be like this (and I guess it is) I'll need more flyers..
