I saw 50th Anniversary badges on Ted Springstead's #6 in California.   They were made from gold belt buckles.   I liked them at once -- but I thought I'd prefer chrome rather than gold (to complement the chrome on the car).

At the car show last weekend I examined the badges that come on the standard 50th Anniversary Edition Corvette and they seemed exactly what I wanted.   Personally, I think that Chevrolet should have put those fender badges on ALL the 2003 Corvettes (not just the Anniversary Edition).   I checked around and found that the parts are available from Chevrolet, complete with adhesive backing.

The best price I could find was Ken Fichtner Chevrolet in Montana.   Ken has traditionally sold parts on the internet for less than anyone else.   For example the fender badges list for $80 each and I bought them from Ken Fichtner for just $53.70 each.

They came today and I surveyed everyone I know (locally) for the best place to put them.   The consensus was my first choice as well.   Here's where they went:
